Stratus Architecture — AWS

Currently, Webscale STRATUS is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The important consideration is that you are not required to do any direct management of the AWS environments used.

The important consideration is that you are not required to do any direct management of the AWS environments used. In other words, you get the full benefit and power of a global cloud services infrastructure without any intervention or configuration. Our STRATUS system works on top of AWS to give you the highest performing technology stack for hosting Magento in a cloud environment.

Amazon EC2

EC2 is the flagship product of AWS and provides the raw hardware needed to run Webscale STRATUS. The underlying physical nodes for all Webscale STRATUS environments are EC2 instances. The micro-services running your environment run on EC2 instances, as well.

LEARN ABOUT AWS

Amazon CloudFront

All Webscale STRATUS environments include the Amazon CloudFront Content Delivery Network (CDN). Traffic for all environments route through a CloudFront distribution. Static assets are then cached for improved delivery speed.

MageMojo manages how the CDN manages assets. No configuration on your part is required.

Amazon Simple Email Service

Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) is included with your Webscale STRATUS environment. Domains added to an environment via the STRATUS URLs List are individually validated with SES. For a domain to be validated requires use of our Route 53 solution. If you wish, you may use your own mail-servers. See STRATUS Nameservers for more on DNS and email configurations.
