Stratus Panel - SSL > Settings

Click SSL in the left-hand navigation menu to reveal the SSL panels.

The SSL settings panel provides controls for the type of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate applied to a Webscale STRATUS environment. Certificates are applied to the CloudFront distribution for the environment. STRATUS provides five options for installing an SSL certificate:

Auto — attempts to select the best certificate option given the settings available. Defaults to Let’s Encrypt certificate generation.

Customer Provided Certificate — uses a third-party certificate entered into the Customer Cert panel.
*mojostratus.io certificate — uses the MageMojo wildcard for temporary domains during initial setup or testing or development. Enabling this will cause any URLs/domains set in the URLs section to stop working if they are not a mojostratus.io subdomain
Let’s Encrypt Certificate — for valid domains (using Route53 nameservers /), will apply a Let’s Encrypt certificate, once generated.

The CloudFront Force SSL setting will add a forced redirect to HTTPS for all content if set to On, the default setting. The redirect will preserve paths (i.e. http://mystore.com/page.html will be directed to https://mystore.com/page.html) .

It’s not unusual for a single Magento environment to be configured for multistore. In this configuration, the Magento installation can host multiple storefronts powered by the same Magento backend. Each store would have its own unique domain. If a third-party SSL certificate is desired, it must cover all domains used in the multistore environment.

Installing a certificate

The easiest way to install your certificate is to send a request to Support . However, a custom certificate can be installed manually:

For a Let’s Encrypt certificate to be generated, your domain must be in the URLs and Domains list and be pointed to the MageMojo Route 53 name servers.

To enable the use of a Let’s Encrypt Certificate:

Go to SSL > Settings in the STRATUS sidebar menu.
Select Let’s Encrypt Certificate in Environment SSL.
Click UPDATE to confirm the change.

A certificate will be generated that matches all the valid domains, creating a multi-domain certificate if needed, and pushed to your CloudFront distribution. The update may take up to 30 minutes.

To create a CSR:

Go to SSL > CSR in the Webscale STRATUS sidebar menu.
Choose either existing New Domain or Existing Domain Make sure you have included all domains listed in the URL section including www versions.
Fill out the remaining sections fully. If you do not have an entry for Department, you may enter N/A
Click CREATE to create the CSR. A private key is created at the same time that you create the CSR and saved in the panel. You only need to provide the CSR to your SSL provider. The private key will be used during your SSL installation once ready.

Note: If you generate a wildcart certificate, make sure you also add the root domain. Example - Domain: *.mystore.com, SAN Domain: mystore.com
